An English location for 'Rutherford'

BARNINGHAM  Parish

 

"This parish is composed of the townships of Barningham, Hope and Scargill. Scargill in 1331–3 was referred to as 'cum Rotherforde' (fn. 1) (Rudderford, Roderforth), a place now only commemorated by Rutherford Bridge on the Greta {top flag on map} (fn. 2) and Rutherford Farm in Scargill. {bottom flag on map} (fn. 3)"
